Remembrance Day

Remembrance day soldiers and poppy.

We had the honor of attending a very interesting and informative Remembrance Service on Friday morning, Nov. 4th. Mrs. Orr opened the Service, followed by the Color Guard. Caitlyn Dempster and the Senior Band performed "O Canada" and Sasha Reimer recited "In Flanders Fields" for our school. Warrant Officer Whalen, an alumni of WCHS (2001), came from Edmonton to speak at the Service. He took us from the First World War up to what Canada's Armed Forces do at home and Internationally today. The Last Post and Rouse were beautifully performed by Tanner Duce before and after the Moment of Silence. Thank you for your respect and please remember what this Day is for.
